Adoption story (short): Izzy was a kitten when she was brought to the local vet in Eudora. She had been attacked by her owner's dog. Her family wanted her to find a new home. I had just lost my Siamese cat and the local vet called to see if I would like to bring Izzy into my home. I was not quite ready for another cat. I told him if she was still there when I came home for Thanksgiving that I would take her. When I returned home from school for Thanksgiving, she was still at the vet clinic…so I brought her home. That was 14 years ago; she is still bringing me joy.
